Taylor Fritz is an American professional tennis player born on October 28, 1997, in Rancho Santa Fe, California.
He managed to attain his highest career ranking by the ATP of world number 12 in July 2022.
Fritz was born to parents who were also former tennis players. His father, Guy Henry Fritz according to records played professional tennis. in 2016 he was awarded the US Olympic Development Coach of the Year for his exploits in tennis.
The American’s mother Kathy May was also a former top ten tennis player. She achieved a career-high ranking of number 10 in 1977. She also managed to win 7 singles WTA titles during her playing days.
Fritz has two older half brothers but does not have a sister. His brothers are named Chris and Kyle Fritz.
Taylor Fritz, 16, was named the ITF Junior World Champion for 2015. Since Donald Young in 2005 and Andy Roddick in 2000, he is the first American to currently hold this title.
All four junior Grand Slam competitions saw Fritz advance at least as far as the quarterfinals, including the French Open final, where he was defeated by Tommy Paul. In addition, he won the Osaka Mayor’s Cup and advanced to the US Open semifinals.
